PERFORMING EVERYTHING
FROM SPANISH classics to Latin
American dances, flamenco showpieces, and colorful contemporary
works from all corners of the globe, guitar virtuoso Christopher
Laughlin has delighted audiences across the United States and
around the world. He has appeared in over 25 nations in Europe,
North and South America, Africa, and the Pacific Rim.
Christopher received a Master of Music degree from Yale University and a Bachelor of Music degree from the Peabody Conservatory. He studied in Paris for two years on a Fulbright grant and on a French government scholarship. While living in Paris he won prizes in two international competitions, the Concours International de Guitar in Sable-sur-Sarthe, France, and the Concours International de lU.F.A.M. in Paris.
Christopher teaches at the University of Illinois at Chicago in Milwaukee, and at the Christopher Laughlin School of Music in Northbrook, Illinois.
